Membership

Returning Member?

If you're already familiar with ZNA membership, you can skip ahead to pay dues.

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to all persons, both renters and homeowners, who are currently residing (living) in the Zilker Neighborhood and are at least 18 years old.

The following are not eligible for membership because they are not persons residing in Zilker:

  • Businesses (see our Business Sponsorship Program instead!)
  • Type 2 STR owners (unless eligible at a different Zilker address)
  • Future residents not yet residing in the neighborhood
  • Persons with homestead exemptions outside of the neighborhood

Zilker Neighborhood's boundaries are shown on the ZNA Boundaries Google Map (also embedded below), including both sides of the relevant parts of the boundary roads Azie Morton, Rabb, Rae Dell, Barton Skwy., S. Lamar, and W. Oltorf.

Not Eligible?

You can still sign up for ZNA emails, though some emails (or parts of emails) are only sent to members.

If you appreciate ZNA's work you can:

Consider a donation

We appreciate any additional contributions made to our general fund to further our goals and activities, even if you are not eligible for membership.

Perhaps you are instead eligible to join Barton Hills Neighborhood Association, Bouldin Creek Neighborhood Association, or South Lamar Neighborhood Association.

Have a business? Consider sponsoring ZNA.

Good to Know

Voting privileges are activated thirty days after membership dues are received (or immediately if renewing a membership from the immediately preceding year). Membership and voting privileges expire on December 31.

If dues are submitted for someone found to be ineligible for membership or if they are submitted more than once for the same person, the dues will be treated as a donation to ZNA's general fund.

Due to the administrative burden on ZNA volunteers, ZNA does not issue refunds for dues or donations made in error or for someone ineligible for membership.

Memberships and donations are not deductible for federal income tax purposes as charitable contributions because Zilker Neighborhood Association is organized as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit and not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Dues Support (Hardship Waivers)

The ZNA Executive Committee is empowered to lower or waive dues for individual members and strongly encourages those in need to request a waiver of dues by any of the following:

2026 membership options are:

  • Member ($12)
  • Supporter ($25)
  • Advocate ($50)
  • Champion ($100)
  • Hero ($500)
  • Dues waiver (see above)

Dues pricing is per person. Membership options priced in excess of $12 include a donation to ZNA's general fund. Membership benefits are the same for all membership options.

Membership expires on December 31, 2026 regardless of when you pay.

Other Ways to Pay

While it really helps out our volunteer bean counters if you pay using the buttons above, you can also pay by cash or check. Just complete a printed 2026 membership form and either mail your check to the address shown on the form or bring your cash/check to a general meeting.

ZNA Boundaries

Our neighborhood's boundaries include both sides of the relevant parts of the boundary roads Azie Morton, Rabb, Rae Dell, Barton Skwy., S. Lamar, and Oltorf as well as most of Zilker Park. These boundaries are illustrated in the below Google Map as well as in ZNA's bylaws.

Membership Over Time

Membership in ZNA is at an all-time high! See below for member counts at the end of each calendar year, when memberships end. Counts prior to 2023 are approximate based on the best records we could get our hands on.
